L’Australia è da sempre terra musicalmente fertile, ultimamente però si esagera: Ta-ku, Flume ve li abbiamo presentati più volte, Lancelot invece (pur non essendo esattamente un newcomer) è alla sua prima apparizione qui a casa Shaq.
Ha all’attivo uno splendido EP─We Can Dance─composto da 3 tracce una meglio dell’altra, un singolone, “Higher Ground” degno della miglior release French Express, una splendida serie di Mixtape “Knight Time Mix” arrivata alle 5a puntata ed un suono tropical/nu-disco caldo ed accattivante. Abbiamo fatto due chiacchiere con Lance tra cavalieri, leggende, origini italiane e grafiche pazzesche.

Hello! My name is Lance, I’m 23 years old and from Sydney Australia. I make electronic music. (I also have an Italian passport. Ha! Just thought I’d throw that in considering this is an Italian blog!)
In your name there are references to knights, in particular, King Arthur. Why?
Well it kinda goes hand in hand with ‘Lancelot’ I guess and visually it is quite a strong theme that hasn’t been used before, so I thought I’d jump on it :-)
Your knight mix is now at fifth episode. Tell us about this project. It will be something like the “Magic Tape” of The Magician?
The KnighTime Mixes are purely set up to premiere new remixes and originals I have coming out in the near future. They are a collection of tracks that I am really enjoying at the time and that you also might here in one of my dj sets.
We are totally in love with your artworks, can you tell us who make them?

It’s been almost one year since you released the superb debut EP “We Can Dance” on Binary Records. Now, you’re back with a new original tune, called “Highter Ground”, a seriously groovy tune. Are you planning any new release?
Yes I have LOADS of music coming out very shortly. I’ll have 2 EP’s out in the next couple months. I’m never leaving that long between releases again!
Talking about the current music scene… what do you think of French Express? Their nu-disco is quite similar to your sound, proof of this, in your mixtape there are many FE tracks.
FE are doing awesome things and will continue to be on the tip of what’s next. They are all great producers in their own right.
