Hi guys, can i ask you to introduce yourself to our readers?
Hey, how is it going? We’ re Matt and Andy from Bicep, we’re from Belfast but we are living in London now. It’s our first time in Neaples, really really glad to be here!!
Is it your first time in Italy? What do you expect from this mini tour from Naples to Milan?
No, this is our second time in Italy, because we played in Mantova in December (with a lot of snow, lol). I think it will be very good, we answer to a lot of emails from fans, we expect tons of friends, we want mix good music and give fun to the people. In London the club are full of Italians , so we’re ready for this (ahah).
Talking about your Stash EP, I think that this work, compared to the previous dance floor killer tracks and EPs, is more agreeable for a bedroom listening or an open party. What’s your opinion about?
Yes, I think we became popular for a specific type of production, focused on the dancefloor, so we wanted to change, we didn’t want that people will categorize us as techno djs or deep house djs, we’v got to change, so we now produce a very hard techno but in the same time we’ve done stuff from jungle to breakbit.
– Andy: I give more pop stuff, want to remix some of pop!
What about your releases with the AUS Music? In this period they are releasing so many artists of great impact in the Deep House scene (from Midland to Dusky). Do you think they actually have a leading role in such an important scene like the Deep House one?
I think that Aus is a great label ,we are lucky to be part of this family, there are so many artists we love inside. When we met her, maybe the artists produced were slightly different from us, I think to George Fitzgerald and Midland, now their orientation has slightly changed. In fact, lately they have produced names such as Dusky who are very similar to us and with whom we are friends too.
What are your future projects? Are you planning to produce an entire album?
Yes, we are thinking about an album. But as previously mentioned, we are experimenting with different sounds, styles, and before making an album we want to be sure of what we want to do. It’s important in a album to have a clear idea of what you want to do.
