Il nuovo disco di Shlohmo, Dark Red, uscirà il prossimo 7 aprile su True Panther/WeDidIt. Oggi esce un nuovo brano dopo Buried, Beams.
Diretto da Jack Irv, il video vuole catturare “the rawness and nostalgic carelessness associated with youth culture” stando a quanto dice il co-founder della WeDidIt, Nick Melons.
Melons aggiunge anche: “Beams as a track demanded that, with its relentless percussion stacked against an energetic yet emotional chord progression reminiscent of post-rock. I came across the director on Vine – he was documenting his days and nights in New York through six-second videos that looked like a modern day Kids shot entirely through an iPhone. We decided to attempt a collaboration, so he would send over batches of tiny clips from which we stitched together the video for Beams.”
