Di Baloji avevamo già parlato in occasione del disco dei Konono N1 e siamo contenti di esplorare la sua collezione di dischi in occasione del suo nuovo EP, 64 bits & Malachite, che uscirà il prossimo 4 novembre.
The first record you bought:
My mom bought me Benny B “Mais vous êtes fou!”, but my first album bought was “Doggystyle”.
The record you own you are most proud of:
It’s a vinyl version of 1973 PLACEBO ( Marc Moulin) that he gave me 2 years before he passed away.
A record that made you want to start making music:
Wu-Tang clan “Enter the chambers”.
A record that inspires you production-wise:
Kanye west “Graduation”.
A record that makes you always want to dance:
Everything form Buraka first album. Some Zaiko Langa Langa and Yemi Aladé “Ferrari” is a must to party like Beyoncé “Drunk in love”.
A record that makes you go all emotional:
Nothing is more emotional than Jacques Brel’s Les Marquises album.
The record that you use to come down and relax:
Lately i’ve been playing while working “Orphée” by Johann Johannsson, but my favorite chill record are the all Tribe called quest, Minie Ripperton, Finley Quaye, Augustus Pablo, Gonzales Solo Piano, and the Brazilian trinity: Jobim, Jorge Ben, Tim Maia.
Your favourite record of the 2016 so far:
David Bowie, Anderson Paak, Radiohead, Frank Ocean, Chance the Rapper, Allan Kingdom, Angel Olsen, Solange, Anohni, Pomrad, Kaytranada, DVSN.
The last record you bought:
This week: i’ve bought D.R.A.M, Cohen and Metronomy.
