Steel Pulse – Rastafari Centennial.
After discovering Bob Marley’s “Legend” amongst a friend of mine’s dad cd collection, I was in love with reggae music. I frantically searched for more, and all I could get from the local reggae shop was crappy bootleg old-ass compilations. I wanted something else. And then I found Steel Pulse. By far my favourite reggae band when I was a teenager. They were everything I wanted to be. Groovy but super skilled technical musicians. At that time I was listening to bands live, mostly, and the way this live is played, oh boy… a million miles ahead into the stratosphere. The crowd is on fire, drum and bass the tightest I had heard until then. I know this live by heart till this very day.
