4. Falling for the Wrong One
I wrote this song reflecting on a relationship that really had some ups and downs. I don’t think we ever really understood each other, and this song is mainly me venting about it. I feel like at the same time though you can sometimes find yourself in too deep and we all are seeking connection so you end up actually loving someone you might not be the most compatible with. And that’s okay!! I was reflecting on summers spent arguing, leaving parties early, never truly feeling like I was seen. It’s funny because this song encourages you to shrug it off and love yourself in a weird way because of the dancing nature to it. It’s kind of just like “hey this sucks, might as well dance by yourself on the dance floor”. I hope that people who have felt heartbroken relate to this song but find some light on the other side.
