Highroad e la b-side Beads sono le prime due tracce dell’anno del producer newyorkese Kwame Nkrumah aka emawk che inizia il 2021 con un approccio onesto e rilassato.
“My favorite thing about both ‘HIGHROAD’ and ‘BEADS’ is that neither one of them started off with me overthinking, and neither one of them was about spending forever looking for the right words,” dice “While I’m proud of the lyrics and the time I took to write them, it was one of the few times where writing was mostly about the vibe, as cheesy as that might sound.”
L’overthinking non è mai una cosa buona, perciò ci prendiamo queste due tracce come una scialla-lesson che gocciola di dolce R&B e jazz chilloso per tutte quelle volte che la testa diventa una soffitta in cui si accumulano i pensieri.
