Fazerdaze – A Thousand Years

Fazerdaze è Amelia Murray, artista bedroom / lo-fi / dream pop neozelandese. Il 15 novembre uscirà il suo secondo album “Soft Power”, prodotto da lei e anticipato dal singolo A Thousand Years. Il video che lo accompagna è diretto e filmato da lei, ed è un autoritratto della depressione ad alto funzionamento con cui convive: sempre diversa, incontrollabile, azzurra, senza segnale. La luce bianca, le mani sulla faccia, i capelli che si agitano con lei, i mesi che scompaiono e diventano brevi come istanti o lunghi come migliaia di anni. Guardandolo anche noi ci sentiamo instabili, sul bordo di un precipizio altissimo, isolati e impotenti. Ogni movimento serve soltanto a sopravvivere, ogni gesto è una regola, ogni sguardo è una lotta invisibile.
Il desiderio di Fazerdaze è che “Soft Play” ispiri le persone a vedere che il vero potere non proviene dal dominio o dal controllo, ma da qualcosa di profondo, silenzioso e dolce che è dentro di noi. Il vero potere germoglia nel cuore, non nella testa, e conduce all’amore, alla compassione, e non alla paura. “Soft Play” è la stella polare che illumina la strada giusta se perdiamo la bussola e il segnale del telefono.
